We hear all the time about how quickly the sands of time run and when it comes to a Masonic year it becomes oh so clear. In a few days it will be ground hog day which brings on thoughts of spring, sooner better than later. The lodge has been busy with candidates but not so busy that our Worshipful Master can’t keep his agenda. We had a great DEO program on the 25th which was very well received by all in attendance, even for the loosing team. February will start out fast with two Entered Apprentices eager to be passed to the degree of Fellow Craft. Come out on February 8th and enjoy the fellowship.
December 14th marked a milepost for Wellington Lodge; through a new program offered by the Grand Lodge we were able to honor our members who have been members for 35 and 40 years. The men recognized for 40 years were raised between 1961 and 1970 and those for 35 years were raised between 1971 and 1975. The 50 year recipient is awarded on the actual Masonic year marking his raising. Take a look at our Photo Album to see if you recognize any of the honorees.
Monday evening December 14th we will have the opportunity to applaud the achievements of our brethren as our Master bestows upon several of our members certificates and emblems admonishing their loyalty to Wellington Lodge by their continued membership in our great fraternity. Bring your wife, family and friends as we invite all to help us celebrate their accomplishments.
The new officers of Wellington Lodge were dully installed this evening. Worshipful Brother Anthony Walker is our new Master. Check out the Officer Tab for the complete listing. Come back from time to time as we will post our activities as well as some pictures of today’s event.
November the 9th marked the beginning of another chapter in the history of Wellington Lodge. During our annual meeting we had the pleasure of electing a new Worshipful Master, the son of our current Master. We are looking forward to a great year with fine leadership and great ritual performances by all of the officers.
Come out on Saturday November 21st and join in the celebration as we install these Officers. This is an open installation, so bring your lady and your guests.
November is here; we have fallen back and are preparing for winter. But don’t hibernate; there are a lot of Masonic activities to enjoy. November 9th is the annual meeting for Wellington Lodge with election of officers. Then on November 21st at 7:00 P.M. is the Installation of those officers. Two events that you don’t want to miss, come out and make a difference in your lodge by casting your ballot and supporting your officers.
It is so hard to imagine how quickly time flies by, we are already approaching our second meeting for October. We are busy but busy is putting it mildly; we have voted on one petitioner, read another and have several candidates in various stages in their Masonic development. Our lodge is busy and the camaraderie is wonderful. Harmony prevails in the halls of Wellington Lodge. Brethren, stop up on Monday the 26th we would love to see you.
It is time for the Lodge to resume its Labors. The September - October newsletter is now available for your viewing. Click on “September 2009” for the latest activities report. The Worshipful Master has scheduled another Pancake and Sausage breakfast, that flyer is available by clicking the “pancake2 2009” link. Mark your calendar so you won’t miss any activity.
How busy do you want to be? How relaxed do you want to be? A combination of both can be achieved by attending lodge. Our lodge continues to be blessed with candidates. This gives the officers the opportunity to use their ritual knowledge and creative abilities while providing the best degree for each candidate. In some cases it is just a member who loves doing ritual portrayals. Stop up and witness ritual at its finest enriched with genuine Masonic fellowship.
